Title: Delusional
Post by: BronwynWolf on February 28, 2011, 09:11:21 AM
That is the only word I can come up w ith for Charlie Sheen. He has gone completely flipping over the edge. 3 MILLION per episode? I choked when I heard he was getting 2! NO ONE is worth that much money for a half hour or hour show. NO ONE. And all this BS about how wonderful a person he is? He cheated on his wives, he takes porn stars and hookers on "family" vacations (but leaves the kids at home) And no, there is NO CURE for acoholism. You may go for fifty years without a drink, but you are still an alcholic and one drink can put you right back in the gutter. This man is now a danger to himself and eveyone around him. He also looks like hell.

He's an immature dopehead with delusions of importance. He and Randy Quaid need to start a new reality show.

What irks me is that people are willing to pay idiots like this ungodly sums of money. If only Charlie Sheen's salary went to the state of California, California could balance its budget and solve the education financial crisis. The next time these dopeheads wind up in jail, the judge should sentence them to a new reality show, the proceeds of which would go into the state coffers.

Muffin, I know your heart's in the right place, but no one, not the studio or even Sheen, should be required to pay 100% of their earnings to the state for any reason whatsoever. The market determines salary, and he has a right to negotiate what the market will bear. For the state to determine an individual's maximum income is Fascism.

Muffin, I know your heart's in the right place, but you need to re-read what you said and figure out where, constitutionally, you are 100% wrong.

Lol, but it's a nice thought, isn't it?  :rotflmao:
I don't suppose it could be considered an extended payment plan for a fine, or even community service? Although, any lawyer worth his not-inconsiderable-paycheck would get any such ruleing thrown out on the basis of "cruel and unusual" or something along those lines.

Actors and sports figures.  I'm sick to death of hearing them complain that they don't get paid enough.  I'd like to see them do the jobs of some of us on here and get paid what we do for a change.  I for one would loved to sit my butt on a bench for most of a game and still get paid a couple million.

Ghostie, you know I'm talking tongue-in-cheek, right? I don't consider myself a fascist. Though, I do have problems with free market economy being considered a perfect system because greed is what drives it.

Watching Charlie Sheen is cruel and unusual punishment, IMO, even when he was younger and cuter.

Okay Muffin, but don't decry capitalism - it is government interference in the free market that has caused all of our problems, including the Federal Reserve system.  ;)

I am intrigued with Charlie Sheen's behavior.  Every sensible fiber in me tells me to let it go, but he is being SO publicly irrational that it's the proverbial train wreck I can't help but watch.

He is manic and he WILL crash.  I only hope that he and those around him land in a healing place.
