9 pm, and the rain has started. It is coming straight down, and isn't any worse than it's been over the last month. There's more pressure behind it, though. I can feel it.

Call me the HUman Borometer.

That band of rain didn't last long, and did NOTHING to help my head.....

Rain here too. A car crashed into the yard across the street from AJ's house. Big mess.

We have flameless candles around, and according to AJ's mother we're going to consume all of the ice cream in the house so that it doesn't melt...

Basement has water in it. We haven't lost power at all. Flooding is the worst problem. One of the dams is ready to lose it...Will post some pictures I took at the pond. Yes, I have been out twice today...both times strickly on my own two feet. Got totally soaked, but feel totally regenerated! (Okay, I am strange). There are a few trees down in the area...here on the island, mostly sumack.

Wolfie, I see they shut down the buses down there. Did you get home before, or are you still at the BF's?

Still at the boyfriend's but they opened the bridge again so his mother is going to let him drive me home later tonight.  And Bron, not weird, we went outside on the porch last night and I didn't want to go back in, it felt... wonderful. I might stand outside tonight as well

The river is cresting now... they had voluntary evacuation of the streets right along the river. The water that was in our basement is nothing but damp patches today
