Title: I do not think that means what you think it means...

Anyone else noticed the odd shape of Scarlett Johansson's new tattoo? Take a look. (http://www.eonline.com/news/avengers_scarlett_johansson_rocks_new/311140) Sure, it says "I (heart) NY", but, where have I seen that shape before? She looks like she put it as a pendant on a bracelett, like your picture, without the chain. So what does that symbol mean?

It's a Thor's Hammer. That style is typically found in Scandinavian archeological sites.

I wear a hammer shaped like that- it was cast from one found at an archaeological dig. I added it to my pentacle and circled chalice to honor the Asatru I minister to in my prison ministry.

peace,
ES

I got curious and had to look it up. Her father was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her mother was born in the Bronx, NY. Looks like she has both sides covered!!
