Title: classes
Post by: DragonsFriend on December 20, 2015, 05:49:18 PM
Since I am currently putting on classes regarding the pagan lifestyle and practices, I was wondering if I was the only person in the world that would go to classes to meet others and to see if there was something I missed in the three or four times I already attended the class. From my history as a teacher I know that some people retake classes because they enjoy either the subject or the process. I guess my question is really:
why do you, if you do, take classes?

Around here, there are enough open, public Pagan groups that one needn't take classes just to meet people. But often the discussions these groups get into would certainly qualify as classes!

That is good to hear. I know that one can learn a lot from classes but there are a few classes that go beyond what discussions alone can achieve, at least in my experience.
One of those is energy recognition and manipulation. Learning how to identify another's energy signature and what and how to deflect, modify or negate the energy is one class that must be taught "hands-on" so to speak.

Quite true. And even things that aren't exactly "hands on" are improved by being in the presence of others. The raising of energy by song or dance seems directly proportional to the numbers gathered together in my experience.
