I read a blog yesterday where the woman encouraged her readers to post a list of the little things in life that are important to them that when really thought about weren't so "little" after all. I liked it so much, I decided to snag the idea and post it here. :D So what does your list look like?
Mine...
- Weekend mornings with coffee in bed and hubby and I having some quiet, idle chat time.
- Being greeted with coffee and a smile weekday mornings by my wonderful hubby
- Having one of my kids come up to me and give me a hug and say “I love you!” for no reason.
- Cool Autumn Breezes
- Beautiful sunsets
- Catching that beautiful sunset in a photo so I can remember it long after it is gone.
- My new workspace where I can let my creativity explode
- Someone else fixing dinner for a change

Hmmm. Off the top of my head:
Shopping with my daughter - even if it is just to the grocery store
Spending time outdoors - especially hiking in the mountains
Hugs
Thank yous
A few quiet moments to ground and center

Had a couple of those moments yesterday:
Driving into work, rounding a corner on a highway, and noticing amazing fall colors.
Seeing the cutest little bird hopping around and flying in the garden.

Cool, rainy days
A good book and plenty of time to read it
Watching the birds and squirrels at my feeders
Sleeping in

The feel of a cool atumn breeze
The whispers of the wind through trees
My son's smile, when it slowly grows from his usual seriously studius expression to a big grin
My wife's embarrassed smile that she tries to hide
When I glance up and happen to spot a beautiful cloud formation

The way my cat reaches out and swats at me to slow down so he can 'headbutt' me.
The feel of my cat wriggling closer to my body, purring like a lawnmower.
Waking up early before the world seems awake.
Waking up early when my grandparents are visiting. Poppy is always awake before 6:30... It's good to have someone to sit and be quiet with and drink tea.
When I feel my boyfriend pull me' tighter when we're sleeping and he kisses my shoulder.
When I'm taking a nap I wake up here and there to a kiss on my forehead
