Dark Moon Rituals
« on: January 23, 2012, 08:41:56 PM »

GW and I did a Dark Moon ritual last night together.  Since GW's patron Goddess is Lilith and we both received Her energy, we decided that we should honor Her in Her time of greatest power.  Since the Dark Moon is a time of mysteries, we thought that seeking her wisdom would be a good idea.  I wrote the ritual and called the quarters and GW did the invocation.  After our time of praise to Lilith, I read a guided meditation for GW to talk to Her and receive a gift from Her then I did a Tarot reading.  Afterwards, we had cakes and ale in the form of truffles and strawberries.  It was a very beautiful ritual.  Here is a pic of the altar.  The owl and Athame are missing because he hadn't arrived with them yet.

Looks quite amazing to me too. And kind of romantic, for some reason.

Why shouldn't it look romantic? Lilith IS a goddess of love and passion.

Meh, because I am a bit distracted today. That was the first thing that popped in my hand and I just wrote it, makes little sense now. How should I say it, I've always separated the romance in my life from the spiritual actions, maybe that is what caused my silly comment here. Never mind it. Beautiful, never the less.

I know this is late, but I just saw this. The altar is beautiful! The ritual sounds amazing, too. Are you going to do it again?

Yes, we did it again last night.  GW has his tools here now, so the altar was a bit more elaborate this time.  :D  We also consecrated our pendants last night.

Here is the entire altar.

And a closeup of Lilith (his birthday gift).

This will be his personal devotion altar location now - just a bit smaller.

How beautiful... I love the statue of Lilith. One day I'll have Morrigan's statue. I hope her surroundings to be as beautiful as this.  :loveheart:
