This summer I went to the Maldives.
I liked. Tell us where you were. And show me photo.

I don't have any cool photos, but I saw a gully of ferns and hemlock beneath some sacred pictographs. I visited museums and ate in funky diners. I saw an old battlefield at Fort Recovery Ohio where the carnage was so great by the Indians that it dwarfed Custer's defeat. They were still finding bodies many years later and they have the largest single grave of the unknown soldier in America. I visited another battlefield at Point Pleasant West Virginia where the treachery of the British Lord Dunmore made me understand how little respect they had for the colonists and why the Revolution was needed. It is a haunted place and that whole area is like a psychic vortex. I went to the zoo and saw the bonabo chimps, I love those and the memorial to the last passenger pigeon. I went fishing and used some hooks my father taught me how to use. I went hiking through fields and woods. I wrote poetry, stories, cryed some, laughed some and stood by my friends. The Maldives did look awesome but I just passed the summer best I could.

I haven't been on a "vacation" this summer, but I  have spent time in the Smoky Mountains and at Pagan Gatherings.  When GW and I get married this fall, we will probably get a cabin and stay away from people for a bit.

I didn't do anything cool this summer, but I got to hang out in the mountains here in Colorado, which is always fun!

I haven't gone on  a vacation this summer, mine will be in October, when I will visit my son in Seattle. Have spent time with my daughter and grandkids though, going to Homosassa Springs state park, which is gorgeous, they have animals that are native to Florida and the boat ride is really gorgeous, so did have some fun this summer.

Winter here, but I won't be going on any vacations any time soon, other than the Australian Wiccan Conference next month.  With bubby on the way, I don't think we'll be travelling far for the next few years!

It's not so much the being able to travel, it's being able to afford it!
