Title: Yule Tree Pics
Post by: dragonspring on November 21, 2010, 06:03:07 AM
Here's our tree.  Now I'm off to wrap some stuff to put under it.

Nice! We have a fiber optic tree, where the tree, the lights, and the ornaments are all one piece- with four rambunctious cats, it's safer that way...

peace,
ES

:rotflmao:  I've got three cats myself.  Thank gods the boys aren't too rambunctious; the tree would be knocked over from the weight!  The female likes to nap in the the tree branches but she's normal sized.   All our ornaments are unbreakable because they get knocked off so much. :D

Is that sort of like "ornament Darwinism"? Only those with an "unbreakability" trait survive to the next year?

My ferrets used to like to climb in the tree too. The cat never bothered.

:rotflmao:  Either that or I stopped buying the glass ones.

Gorgeous tree!

Cats are funny. Ours always liked to drink the piney water.

Lovely!  I'm not really looking forward to seeing what the new kitty is going to do with my trees.  Our older kitty, Cleo, only likes to sleep under them.  The new kitty is way too inquisitive and I have a feeling it is going to be one interesting holiday season.  :rolleye:

My ornaments have a social ladder they climb. The more breakable the higher they are placed.

DS I LOVE your tree! I can't wait to put mine up... I have to wait until after Thanksgiving :(

Foxy...hehehe if your new kitty is anything like any of the ones I have -get ready. My older kitty at my parent's house is very cranky at times, not very playful and she LOVES Christmas. She sleeps under the tree., attacks ornaments, leaps into boxes, comes out for presents... it's actually amusing that at 4am (typical present opening time since I was little... I wake the kids up now. I'm not ruining my internal clock)  all the animals come out and sit around the tree.

Y'all have some beautiful trees. Between the cat, my 6 yr old, and my 2 nephews that are staying here this week (3yr old, and 1 yr old) my tree is pretty bad. All the ornaments are on the top and the bottom kid-reachable part of the tree is bare.

Absolutely lovely!  I haven't had two seconds to get any pics taken between getting stuff done for the shop, shopping and baking.  I'm hoping like crazy that I'll get enough done today that I'll have time to get the pics taken.  I can say that I'm utterly amazed and thrilled that the new kitty isn't even interested in the trees, so we haven't had any issues there.  :cheer:

This is my blue tree that is in my living room.

LOVE it...even if I wouldn't do a Victorian tree. Someday, I will have one tree that is just my flat stamp ornaments and white lights.
