Celtic Tree Calendar
(1/1)
dragonspring:
The origins of the Celtic lunar tree calendar are unknown, but it is generally accepted that the Celts and other ancient peoples measured time through the phases of the moon. The lunar tree calendar combined the Celtic reverence for trees with that tradition. Depending on the correspondences, the energies of each moon are either masculine or feminine and best suited to different magical workings.
The counting of the moons begins with the moon closest to Yule.
