Title: Ostara 2013
Post by: Belmont2500 on March 04, 2013, 09:13:55 PM
Well, Ostara is next week. So, how do you plan to celebrate this sacred time. I am attending another public gathering and ending it was some prayers and devotions as well as an offering to the gods and spirits.

Ostara is GW's birthday so we will be celebrating that.  We are attending a Heathen joining ceremony on the 21st that will be followed by a Faining and Sumble.

So jealous. I'll probably be out of town due to work.  :gaah:

That is just cool. My birthday is the day after Lammas/Lughnasadh.

I have multiple Ostara's... Saturday the 16th with the Novitiates of the Old Ways; Tuesday the 19th with the Wiccans at New Castle Correctional Facility, and Tuesday the 26th with the Asatru at NCCF. And my personal observance on the 20th. I will also be with the Asatru at Wabash Valley Correctional, but don't yet know the date.

peace,
ES.

We need to come down and visit you sometime. You aren't that far away.

My coven has drifted apart after many years, my dear friend and former High Priestess and I, will most likely take another of the great hikes we have been doing about every week since we were freed of coven reponsibilities. I loved the coven but I feel so free now to just go out and enjoy nature. Oddly enough my wife who does not like to hike is fine with Angie and myself hiking often, after 32 years my wife trusts me completely. My wife also knows I am the type of person who makes a big fuss over trees, flowers and rocks which bores her to tears, she is just delighted I am not dragging her along. :rolleye: We might go down to the Serpent Mound it is a great effigy mound about two hours away and would be special. It was built on the edge of a meteor crater and compasses don't work right there.

I need to suck it up and cram the Mrs and Lils into the car and just find a ritual in TN or Bham. Would love to visit y'all too, tho.  :D

Cool.  Maybe when we get more familiar with the Kindred around here, we can offer some suggestions for happenings in TN.  I know there is an active group in Nashville but we don't know them.
