Samhain Resolutions 2009
« on: October 14, 2009, 09:37:48 AM »

Well, here we are just about 2 weeks from Samhain and I find that I haven't given any thought to my resolutions this year.  :brickwall:  So I figured I'd send out a collective prod ... what are your resolutions for the new year?

I'll come back and post mine after I think on it a bit, but everyone else feel free to jump in as well.  What things do you want to banish from your life?  And what things do you want to invite in?

I hereby resolve not to make any resolutions I won't keep anyway.  :D

On a more serious note, I intend to stdy the Elder Futhark in depth and to dedicate myself to Frey and Freya on a deeper level.

I resolve to try to think more and react less with my kids. It's tough. This morning was a real test and I think I only got a D+. :(

I resolve to spend more time each day being active with my husband and the dogs instead of sitting in front of the computer. I also invite more introspection into my life.

To one of these years remember that Samhain is the new year and actually plan some resolutions for it instead of New Year's Eve.

Which is coincidentally to remember to actually make resolutions.  :D

I want to stop going over old stuff in my mind and focus more on the joy of every new day.

I wish I could banish procrastination, but that might be a little ambitious...OK, seriously.

I have noticed that my husband makes me really angry.  This indicates that I am allowing him to have too much influence over my emotions.  I am going to banish those negative feelings.

I would like to invite healthy choices into my life.  IF I could make at least one small choice every day to improve my health, I think it would help me lose weight and be healthier overall.

Well, apparently I need to work on more than I thought ... I completely forgot to come back to this.

I need to work on priorities ... the things that are really important seem to be getting lost amongst the clutter of daily life.

I think we all struggle with that to a degree.
