This is rather disturbing but may be happening with many subjects, not just the occult. An herbalism teacher of mine who has authored over 20 books was approached by a publishing company and asked to ghost write an herb book for an MD who would be the author. She had numerous problems with the project so of course declined. She said there is a lot of erroneous information re. herbs getting published lately, probably because of this trend to use ghost writers.
