Could Coventry be named after water goddess?
« on: March 08, 2010, 11:49:03 AM »

Here's an interesting article from Coventry's newspaper about their origins. Could it be that Lady Godiva's famous ride was not to protest taxes, but to end hexes? http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/2010/03/01/could-coventry-be-named-after-water-goddess-92746-25937686/

Maybe she just liked the feel of sunshine and a nice breeze on her tushie?

If I were to ride nude, it would probably upset the space-time continuum itself, wiping out a lot more than just hexes... I once embarked on a reverse-stripper career; I'd come out on stage naked, and put clothes on if they threw enough money. But after three stage hands were killed in the currency blizzard, my act was banned, and all the money went to the grieving families. And when I flew home, I had to pass through one of those scanners, and the screams of TSA agents gouging out their eyes with food-court sporks could be heard for three counties.

peace,
