Title: where to find belly dance attire
Post by: earthmuffin on June 18, 2011, 11:00:03 AM
I know there are at least a couple of people who are into belly dance and am wondering where you find patterns or affordable attire online.

I'm looking for a more casual choli top with flowing sleeves.

My favorite links for ready-to-wear:

http://www.sharifwear.com (the silver/smoke top I wore in March is a Sharifwear gypsy top, and check out the Clearance section)

http://www.moondancebellydance.com

http://www.flyingskirts.com

For patterns, check out Shira's site:

If you ever want some cheap coin hip scarves, this place is cheap and has free shipping.  I love jingling when I dance even if its just for practice.

They have some pretty good ideas on here already so i don't feel bad for saying this... but if you EVER get to go to South Korea they have great shops in their malls underground. At least i think they are malls. You wouldn't believe their fashion and the dance outfits! I really believe their belly dancing outfits are awesome! so much better than anything else. :D Not saying this to be smart, just putting in my words.
