Uhm... not too exciting. I was looking for other Pagans, seeing as I'm a singular witch, myself, and I was lonely. Too many Yules spent alone in my usual clearing. WAY too many Samhains spent all lonerlike.
I googled. I heard from a friend that this was a good place to find more people who were of like belief and I googled. (said friend is a christian, but he's very understanding and not at all 'holier-than-thou").
I'd like to learn more than I know, so if anyone feels like helping...
Find me?

I was searching the net for a pagan forum to share some thought and ideas with other like minded people. I am very excited to be here!

A friend advised me to come here pretty while ago, I remembered just it at beginning of January this year and asked again what was the site.

Wow - how did I miss this thread?!

I too am a Wicca Forums veteran - was there for a few (3-4?) years before it shut down.  I was then invited to another forum by Fox, and then this one grew out of that and the rest is history.

Can't, for the life of me, remember how I found Wicca Forums originally!

I was in the midst of a self enlightenment journey (learning more about the Buddhist religion) when, I happened upon a website that gave info on lots of different religions. Out of curiosity I went to see what it had to say about Wicca, at the bottom it had a list of related sites and that's how I found this forum.

Honestly, I stumbled across the site in a fit of writer's block. I have been working up a group solstice ritual, and got stuck. I googled 'solstice ritial' images for inspiration, and it led me here. Lame. but effective.

I found Pagan Journeys via google, specifically looking for multi-faith boards.

I actually , seriously, saw the url scrawled on the inside of a bathroom stall. I was interested in why someone would write that on a bathroom door so I looked up the url on my smartphone and I found this lovely place.

I know, I can hardly believe it. Then again people in that marijuana subreddit are always posting pictures of the r/trees url scrawled all over the place. If something is well liked, no doubt someone who likes it is some kind of vandal who will gladly write about it on all kinds of surfaces.

Actually it was a Starbuck's by where I work. I find they have nicer bathrooms. Much better than the usual public bathroom. It lead me here so I guess I was right.

I was actually in some strange place in my mind, talking to others in a skull-whacker paradise, when the thought came to me to google wiccan forums

As a general rule of thumb I avoid looking up URL's I find at random. After getting sent to a few "Shock Sites" (of which shall remain nameless) I find I'm happier that way.

I used to be a..well, a regular lurker- most certainly- on Wicca Forums; and I loved the crazy chaotic hotbed of activity: questions, old threads, resources, discussions, recipes; you name it. It was also a place where I somehow- and I don't know exactly what it was; felt I could trust the veterans with questions. The answers felt...academic to me, which is my go-to benchmark for an answer/response's authenticity.
I was also in high school/college during that period, so there weren't too many significant "real world" dramas to distract me from being on WF. And then, college got a bit hectic so I took a break. And then I came back and WF wasn't there anymore.

Over the years, I've sporadically looked through the interwebs trying to figure out if WF regulars had regrouped somewhere else- but I never did find anything. And then a few days back, I went through another searching spree for old WF folks (It ain't stalking if I don't know you on FB, haha); and I somehow ended up on religioustolerance.org that linked to this forum. I liked the place enough to register and posted; and I included old WF names to see if any were here.
And then I looked at the Pagan Journey team and went waaaait a minute

Dear God, I must sound so creepy, don't I? But the truth is, I've never found a forum like WF ever again.

But the truth is, I've never found a forum like WF ever again.

And you likely won't ... as we mention in our "About" page, this place was never intended to replace WF.  There were a lot of issues and problems there (especially at the end) that we will not allow to be repeated here.

I remember your username from WF and hope you will find this place somewhere you can feel comfortable and perhaps get some questions answered.  ;)
