Title: Year and a Day
Post by: jrasm001 on July 13, 2012, 10:49:45 AM
So I am doing the traditional Year and a day study before my dedication.
I was wondering if there was any guidelines to it. Like to be ready for your dedication  you have to be so far by this month, and so far by this month.
If any one has any advice I would appreciate it.

The Year and a Day is a test of your commitment. Unless you have a teacher, coven or teaching circle setting the lessons, no, you don't have to "be at point A by month 2, and at point B by month 4".

Read everything you can get your hands on (except Silver Ravenwolf) and DO!

I am starting with the books that are listed here in the beginners section. When I head back to college in the fall I will have access to a lot more books

I agree about reading a lot.  It will help you define where you want to go and help you clarify what you believe.  Listen to your inner voice and try to notice things in nature. Even if you live in the city, you can feel the sun on your face or a cool breeze.
