Title: Beltane feast at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility
Post by: Eternal Seeker on May 02, 2014, 07:51:02 PM

Beltane feast at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility today. In the past, we have complained to the coordinator who is now the new Director of Religious Services about those feasts- which usually consisted of a slice of turkey ham, a biscuit, peas & carrots, and a cookie. The Director asked us to start writing down exactly what is served, and its quality, as that's not what was claimed on the menus sent downtown. This is the first feast since he told us to document- and behold, there was salad, French dressing, two biscuits, butter, an entire chicken quarter, fresh green beans, a corn/squash medley, and a reasonably large square of apple spice cake, moist and springy. The Vegans got the same, with the chicken leg replaced by soyburgers and an apple. My joy is the new broom starting to sweep!!

peace,
ES
