December - Oak Moon or Snow Moon

Oak Moon is the first full moon in December.  In some locations, this is the moon which will bring the first snow of the winter.  At the darkest time of the year, we respect the resilience of the oak who weathers the cold winter in majesty.

Like the land that lies barren of any harvest, it is time to accept that we all must rest to prepare for new growth. We realize that sometimes a part of us must die in order to have new life.  It is a time to let go of grudges and negativity and also a time for hope.
