I will be working on trying to get the forum upgraded over the next week or so. I have a lot of behind the scenes work to do before I need to take the forum offline, but wanted to give everyone a bit of a heads up that it will be coming. I will try to give everyone as much notice as possible before I have to take the site down. I'm very much open to any positive energy that this process goes as smoothly as possible if anyone feels like shooting that out there!
For those that haven't done so yet, we are on FaceBook and that is where I will be updating the progress once the site is down... http://www.facebook.com/pages/wwwpaganjourneyscom/277515342017

Oh great, I'll be locked out again!
-
Does the upgrade come with a teleportation button that transfers Googled pictures of cookies and pie into real cookies and pie into my greedy sticky hands?
:cutie:
That would be an awesome upgrade.
-
:yeahthat: Like!
-
Sadly I'll not be able to follow on Facebook. Can you give me an estimated time frame for the upgrade?
I can't do the Facebook because too many people would get narky if they knew that I was pagan. Not the least of which is my wife's EX Husband who while an atheist who couldn't give two hoots in heck about religion would LOVE to use the fact that we're pagan as a way to convince the courts in the Bible-Thumping Southern Maryland area that we are unsuited for any visitation rights whatsoever.
-
You could make a fake FB profile...
-
:laughfit: Wolfie, I so would if I could!

It looks like I may very well be ready to run with the live upgrade in a day or two based on the progress I made today. That is assuming I can figure out a few more bugs in the theme and layout that are driving me bonkers.

Mongo, I'll post on my page when I have it upgraded for you. I can send you a message to you as well if you'd like.

It is my intent to get the site upgraded tomorrow (December 30th). Barring all complications, it shouldn't take all that long to upgrade. I do not have a specific time set, but if you come in and see any issues or cannot access the forum, check the FB page for updates.
-
Update will begin at 4pm CST!
-
I think I have everything updated. Please let me know if you see any problems or issues that I may have missed.
Thank you for your patience!

Thanks for all your hard work Fox! :D

Just doing my job! :D

Maybe it's just me, but my text is not wrapping in the post reply box. Is there something that needs to be adjusted to correct this?
-
I just tried to test what I thought you were talking about and I don't seem to be having an issue. It may be that I'm not fully understanding what it is you are having an issue with. Are you talking about the edit box for new posts or for replying to an existing post? What browser and version are you using?
-
It's the current updated version of Firefox. It is the reply box. The box does not have a defined boundary on the right, and the text extends all the way off the right side and dissapears without wrapping like it did before the update.
-
I can't correct the word "disappears" because it is not visible in the edit box either.
-
I just tried it with IE. Apparently, it is an issue with Firefox. However, it is only happening on this board.
-
Hopefully this will help find the problem.
I have the current Java version 6, revision 30.
Chrome Version (current version) 16.0.912.63
I get the reply box problem, that runs off the end of the screen.
Internet Explorer 9.0.8112 (not sure how recent this version is, as I dont use IE)
I don't have the reply box problem.
Firefox Versions 8 & 9.01 (current version).
I don't have the reply box problem.
(Edited to add IE info)

I did a quick look on the support forum as I have yet to be able to get mine to do this (still need to see about the browser versions) and they suggested clearing your cache. I'm still looking, but if those of you that are having issues could try that and let me know, I'd appreciate it.
-
Just checked Chrome. I have the latest version (16.0.912.63) and do not see this issue. I am using FireFox 8.0 and also am not seeing it. I will try and upgrade and see what happens.
-
Newest version of FireFox (9.0.1) still looks good on my end. That is telling me that it is most likely a caching issue. If someone could test that and let me know, that would be awesome!
-
I'm using Firefox 9 and I have the problem. How do you check the caching?
-
I cleared all my Chrome history/cache, and the reply box problem is gone.

Tools > Clear Recent History
Then make sure all the options are checked (this will clear everything)
-
Just cleared the cache and it is back to normal.
-
:cheer: So glad that fixed it! I am always amazed at how wonky things can get on your computer and a simple cache clearing can fix it. I guess it is too bad there isn't that kind of a function for our brains.

Yay, it worked. :cheer: Thanks, Wookie.
-
Does anyone else see the logo and header info when they are logged out? Something has managed to get messed up and I cannot seem to figure out what or why.
-
Hey, I didn't even know I had that problem until I looked. Clearing the cache does work, haha. Wow.
