i was just wondering what your preferred methods of casting a circle are,
and if you have a reason for choosing that particular method.

It all depends on what the circumstances of the ritual are.  When I am Solitary, I usually setup an altar with all the elements represented and do a visualization of what they mean to me when calling them.  After the Quarters are called, I visualize the Circle as a white bubble encompassing the area I am working in.

When working in a group, we usually use formal Quarter calls and envision the respective pentagrams acting as guardians and beacons and the HPS draws the circle symbolically in a deosil direction.  Sometimes in a small grouip, we all reach down and pull the circle up.

Then there are times when I need a sacred place in the Astral thatand my circle is a nice cave with a clear water pool in the womb of our Mother.

The only time I cast a circle anymore is when I am working in a group.

I'm a lot like BronwynWolf, except when I'm wanting to empower something or with groups. I don't have to worry about the group often, since it's been two years since Ive been around a group.

You know, I dont know for sure if I miss a group or not. Maybe a more structured group would be nice rather than a bunch of people standing there. I don't know why, but I'm a fan of structure.

Some people just prefer to be coordinated and focused when there's a group involved. Nothing wrong with that. :)
