Dublin Irish Culture Festival, Aug 5-7
« on: August 04, 2011, 07:58:56 AM »

Anyone else going? Dublin, Ohio. It's the second biggest Irish Festival in the world, the biggest in the US. The only bigger one is actually IN Ireland.

We were there last year and, in addition to all the other cool stuff, had a beautiful Pagan ceremony Sunday morning.

I might go but I work all weekend. I tend to hit the ethnic festivals where they cook good stuff to eat, the Italians, Greeks, rednecks with barbecue, and even the Germans with their sausages. I am too much the flea scratching mutt to be anything other then American, but the Irish throw a fine party. Are you from around Columbus?

Nah, we're coming from Southern Indiana for the weekend. Girl-family road trip.

They have killer bangers and mash everywhere you turn around at this place, and stew and lamb and about a million kinds of gyros ... :foodswoon:

Oh, and beer and whiskey tasting. =D

Not only has Bron got spelling issues, Bron can't see straight today. That was supposed to be " A BIG, stuffed cookie". The filling is made with currants.
