Mods and Admins are people too

Having been on more than a few forums, I've run into a lot of folks who seem to think that just because someone is a Moderator or Administrator of a forum, they are not supposed to have opinions on the topics posted on their boards.  The reality is that nothing could be farther from the truth.

Those who choose to deal with creating a really good forum and those who choose to help moderate those forums are real live people just like every one of the "regular" members.  We are not robots.  We are not cops.  We are not your parents.  We are entitled to our opinions just like everyone else and we are entitled to express those opinions just like everyone else.

Those of us involved with Pagan Journeys want to make this place the best forum it can be.  But since the purpose of forums is to bring a large number of people together, there are bound to be conflicts.  Sometimes folks are having a bad day.  Sometimes someone posts something we get hot under the collar about.  And sometimes we run into folks who think that they don't need to be polite because they don't have to face those they are arguing with.

The intent of this post is to "lay it on the line".  The staff here attempt to maintain an even temper with those who make statements we disagree with and we expect our members to do the same.  These forums will be moderated aggressively as we want our long term members to have a safe, comfortable place to commune with one another.  And we will participate as well.  So play nice, be respectful, and have fun and we'll all get along just fine. :D
