Second annual PJ Virtual Caroling!
« on: December 11, 2010, 10:51:18 PM »

OK folks ... it's 10 days to Yule and 14 days to Christmas, let's get some virtual caroling going! :yeah:

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Toll the ancient Yule-tide carol
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

See the blazing Yule before us.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Follow me in merry measure.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
While I tell of Yule-tide treasure.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Fast away the old year passes.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Hail the new year, lads and lasses
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Sing we joyous, all together.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Heedless of the wind and weather.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Christmas in Kilarnee
Is wonderful to see
Listen to my story
and I'll take you back with me

The holly green, the ivy green
The prettiest picture you've ever seen
It's Christmass in Kilarnee
And all of the folks are home

It's fun you know to kiss your beau
While huddling uncer the mistletoe
And Santa Claus, of course you know
Is one of the boys from home

The door is always open
The neighboors come to call
And Father John before he's gone
Will bless the house and all

It gives me chills to kick my heels
and join in the fun of the rigs and reels
I'm handing you no blarney
The likes you've ever known
It's Christmas in Kilarnee
And all of the folks are home!

Carol Of The Bells Lyrics

Carol Of The Bells

Hark! how the bells
Sweet silver bells
All seem to say,
"Throw cares away."
Christmas is here
Bringing good cheer
To young and old
Meek and the bold

Ding, dong, ding, dong
That is their song
With joyful ring
All caroling
One seems to hear
Words of good cheer
From ev'rywhere
Filling the air

Oh how they pound,
Raising the sound,
O'er hill and dale,
Telling their tale,
Gaily they ring
While people sing
Songs of good cheer
Christmas is here
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas

On, on they send
On without end
Their joyful tone
To ev'ry home

Ding, dong, ding, dong.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on,
Our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on,
Our troubles will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.

Through the years we all will be together
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.

 :yeah:

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa's on his way
He's bringing lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you

Chipmunks roasting on an open fire
Hot sauce dripping from their toes
Yuletide squirrels fresh filleted by the choir
They poked hot skewers through their nose

Everybody knows some pepper and a garlic clove
Help to make them seasoned right
Tiny rats with a crisp golden coat
Will really hit the spot tonight

And now when Santa sees his tray
There'll be some homemade chipmunk jerky for his sleigh
And every hungry child is gonna spy
To see if chipmunks really sing when they fry

And so I'm brushing on some honey glaze
To keep them crisp and juicy too
Let's hope they get served many times many ways
Tasty Chipmunks; good food

And so I'm offering some recipes
From chipmunk pie to chipmunk stew
I'm not really sad that it ended this way
Furry chipmunks screw you

:D

 :laughfit:

city sidewalks
busy sidewalks
dressed in holiday style
in the air there's a feeling
of Christmas
children laughing
people passing
meeting smile after smile
and on ev'ry street corner you'll hear

silver bells
silver bells
it's Christmas time
in the city
ring-a-ling
hear them sing
soon it will be Christmas day

strings of street lights
even stop lights
blink a bright red and green
as the shoppers rush home with
their treasures

hear the snow crunch
see the kids bunch
this is Santa's big scene
and above all this bustle you'll hear

silver bells
silver bells
it's Christmas time
in the city
ring-a-ling
hear them sing
soon it will be Christmas day

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
Know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around.

O, Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.

Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

Frosty the snowman knew
The sun was hot that day,
So he said, "Let's run and
We'll have some fun
Now before I melt away."
Down to the village,
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all
Around the square saying,
Catch me if you can.

He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"

For Frosty the snow man
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
"Don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day."
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

Jolly old Saint Nicholas,
lean your ear this way!
Don't you tell a single soul
what I'm going to say:
Christmas Eve is coming soon;
now, you dear old man
Whisper what you'll bring to me;
tell me if you can.

When the clock is striking twelve,
when I'm fast asleep
Down the chimney, broad and black,
with your pack you'll creep
All the stockings you will find
hanging in a row
Mine will be the shortest one,
you'll be sure to know

Bobby wants a pair of skates,
Suzy wants a sled
Nellie wants a picture book,
yellow, blue, and red
Now I think I'll leave to you
what to give the rest
Choose for me, dear Santa Claus;
you will know the best.

Christmas is coming,
The goose is getting fat
Please put a penny
In the old man's hat.

If you haven't got a penny,
A ha'penny will do,
If you haven't got a ha'penny,
Then God bless you.

Christmas is coming,
lights are on the tree,
Hang up your stocking for Santa Claus to see.
If you you haven't got a stocking,
a little sock will do;
If you haven't got a little sock,
God bless you!

Christmas is coming,
the season of good cheer,
Let's all sing a carol for the brand-new year!
If you haven't got a carol,
a jolly song will do;
If you haven't got a jolly song,
God... bless... you...!

Merry Meet in good measure
Follow along as
We join in the dance

Sing, Merry Meet
Merry Meet in the Circle
Come on along
You can join in the song

Bring back the Light
Light never ending

Through dark
Of night
This call
We are sending

With all
Our might
Bring back
The light

Bring back
The light
Our hearts
Are open

On Solstice Night

We are
Invoking
The Lord
Of Life

Bring back
The light
The light

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon,
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Queen of the Stars
Queen of the Moon
Queen of the Horns
And Queen of Fire

Hearken to
This Witchs Rune
Work the will
As we desire

Lord of Life
Seed of Light
Flame that warms
The coldest night

Bring to us
The waxing light
Be with us
On Solstice Night

Bring back
The light
Light is
Descending

To Earth
Tonight
Light
Never ending

To Earth
Tonight
Bring back
The light

Earth, Water, Fire and Air
Make this year a blessing

Earth, Water, Fire and Air
Make this year a blessing

Earth, Water, Fire and Air
Make this year a blessing

In the silence of the night
When the snow lies soft and still
You can see a magic light
And hear the ring of Christmas bells

Though the night seems long and dark
It is the earth just gone to sleep
The stars that dot the sky above
Hold you in their precious keep
So close your eyes and come with me
The Christmas bells will lead you home.

Now with song we fill the night
While magic dances in the light
To wish you now and all the year
The joy that comes with Christmas cheer
Hear our voices fill the air
To drive the winter's cold away
And so our hearts with all will share
The love that comes with Christmas Day
The love that comes with Christmas Day
The Christmas bells will bring you home!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

And just because I really could use some snow about now (it was 83 here yesterday! :omg: ):

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
in the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
we're happy tonight,
walking in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird,
here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
as we go along,
walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
we'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
when you're in town.

Later on, we'll conspire,
as we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
the plans that we've made,
walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
and pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
until the other kids knock him down.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
walking in a winter wonderland.

Walking in a winter wonderland,
walking in a winter wonderland.

Wombling Merry Christmas
Open your eyes
Look to the skies when you're lonely
There will be stars shining for you
Sleepers Awake!
It's getting late, snow is falling
The whole wide world is Wombling too

All day long
We will be Wombling in the snow
We wish you a Wombling Merry Christmas
All day long
We will be laughing as we go
We wish you a Wombling Merry Christmas

Under the ground
There is the sound of a symphony
The lights are low
The fire is bright
Wombling through
I'll tune in to you, you tune in to me
We'll send you a message into the night

All day long
We will be Wombling in the snow
We wish you a Wombling Merry Christmas
All day long
We will be laughing as we go
We wish you a Wombling Merry Christmas

Since Ghost Wolf started off with the messed up carols...MY TURN!

Lacy things, the wife is missin'
Didn't ask, her permission
I'm wearin' her clothes
Her silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

In the store, there's a teddy
Little straps, like spaghetti
It holds me so tight
Like handcuffs at night
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

In the office there's a guy named Melvin,
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown
He'll say, "Are you ready?" I'll say, "Whoa Man!"
"Let's wait until our wives are out of town!"

Later on, if you wanna
We can dress, like Madonna
Put on some eyeshade
And join the parade
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

Lacy things- missin'
Didn't ask- permission
Wearin' her clothes
Silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

Boys.  :rolleye:

Caroling, caroling, now we go
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling through the snow
Christmas bells are ringing
Joyous voices sweet and clear
Sing the sad of heart to cheer
Ding dong, ding dong
Christmas bells are ringing

Caroling, caroling through the town
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling up and down
Christmas bells are ringing
Mark ye well the song we sing
Gladsome tidings now we bring
Ding dong, ding dong
Christmas bells are ringing!

Caroling, caroling, near and far
Christmas bells are ringing
Following, following yonder star
Christmas bells are ringing
Sing we all this happy morn
"Lo, the King of heav'n is born!"
Ding dong, ding dong
Christmas bells are ringing

Rudolph the red nose reindeer,
had a very shiny nose,
and if you ever saw it,
you would even say it glowed.

All of the other reindeer,
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph,
join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him,
as they shouted out with glee:
"Rudoph the Red Nose Reindeer,
you'll go down in history!"

And a little trivia ... when first approached to do this song, Gene Autry refused saying it was too silly.  His wife eventually talked him into doing it and it ended up being his best selling song ever.  I'd be willing to bet he thanked her every day for the rest of their lives. :rotflmao:

My sis sent this one to my email this morning

(To The Tune of "Winter Wonderland")

Doorbell rings, I'm not list'nin',
From my mouth, drool is glist'nin',
I'm happy -- although
My boss let me go --
Happily addicted to the Web.

All night long, I sit clicking,
Unaware time is ticking,
There's beard on my cheek,
Same clothes for a week,
Happily addicted to the Web!

Friends come by; they shake me, Saying, "Yo, man!
Don't you know tonight's the senior prom?"

With a listless shrug, I mutter "No, man;
I just discovered laugh-a-lot-dot-com!"

I don't phone, don't send faxes,
Don't go out, don't pay taxes,
Who cares if someday, they drag me away?
I’m happily addicted to the Web

I'm happily addicted to the Web!
Happ-ily, ad-dict-ed to the Web!!!

Rocking around the Christmas Tree
at the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung where you can see
Ev'ry couple tries to stop

You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing
"Let's be jolly; Deck the halls with boughs of holly" Rocking around the Christmas Tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone's dancing merrily
In a new old fashioned way

Rocking around the Christmas Tree
Let the Christmas Spirit ring
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie
and we'll do some caroling

You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing
"Let's be jolly; Deck the halls with boughs of holly"
Rocking around the Christmas Tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone's dancing merrily
In a new old fashioned way

Christmas, Christmas time is here
And Christmas songs you love to hear
Thoughts of joy and hope and cheer
But mostly shopping, shopping, SHOPPING!

Christmas, Christmas time is here
The sleigh bells and the red-nosed deer
Songs and songs we love to hear
All played a thousand times each year

Heard this same song twenty times
And it's only Halloween
It's not even cold outside...

Christmas, Christmas time is here
And Christmas songs you love to hear
Thoughts of joy and hope and cheer
But mostly shopping, shopping, SHOPPING!

Christmas season
Starting sooner every year
It's October
Stores with plastic Christmas trees
Ransack the malls
Shop until you lose your mind
Spike the eggnog
Sit back and watch Rudolph, Frosty, Tiny Tim, or Scrooge, the Grinch, or Charlie Brown

It's time!!

It's time to do the Christmas Can Can
If you can't can't dance well that's okay
(Not going to do the kickline!)
All you need is a tree, some lights
About a thousand presents, wrap them up and pray for snow
(Ho...)
Run to your closet, find your Christmas sweater
Screaming carols all the way
(FA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!)
Maine all the way to California
It's the Christmas Can Can - Halloween to Christmas Day

It's the most wonderful time of year
We're running mad with Christmas cheer...
Hey, what's troubling you, my friend?
It's not fair if you're Jewish, Jewish!

Not fair if you're Jewish, Jewish?
Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel, I made it out of clay
You realize that Christmas ain't the only holiday!
(Oy!)

Hey, he's right, who made these laws?
Look, wait - here comes Santa Claus!
Santa Claus, Santa Claus, Santa Claus, Santa Claus
Santa Santa Santa Santa Santa Santa Santa Santa!
Guys? Guys!!

Hey, Santa do the can can
Help him if you can, can - join in the parade
I'm going to go buy some Chinese food...
All you need is a tree, some lights
About a thousand presents, wrap them up and pray for snow
(HO!)
Run to your closet, find your Christmas sweater
Screaming carols all the way
(FA LA LA LA LA LA LA!!!)
Prance all the way to Indiana
It's the Christmas Can Can, that's the end!

Wait for our ending - we should share this holiday!
Hava nagila, Happy Hannukah to you!
A Happy Hannukah to you!
A Happy Hannukah to you!
A Merry Christmas, Hannukah,
And also Kwanzaa...
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Merry Kwanzaa too!

We Need A Little Christmas
Haul out the holly
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again
Fill up the stocking
I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now

For we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute
Candles in the window
Carols at the spinet

Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute
It hasn't snowed a single flurry
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry

So climb down the chimney
Turn on the brightest string of light I've ever seen
Slice up the fruitcake
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough

For I've grown a little leaner
Grown a little colder
Grown a little sadder
Grown a little older

And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder
Need a little CHristmas now

For we need a little music
Need a little laughter
Need a little singing
Ringing through the rafter

And we need a little snappy
"Happy ever after"
Need a little Christmas now

Santa Baby, slip a sable under the tree, For me.
been an awful good girl, Santa baby,
so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa baby, a 54 convertible too,
Light blue.
I'll wait up for you dear,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Think of all the fun I've missed,
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed,
Next year I could be just as good,
If you'll check off my Christmas list,

Santa baby, I wanna yacht,
And really that's not a lot,
Been an angel all year,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa honey, there's one thing I really do need,
The deed
To a platinum mine,
Santa honey, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa cutie, and fill my stocking with a duplex,
And checks.
Sign your 'X' on the line,
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight.

Come and trim my Christmas tree,
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's,
I really do believe in you,
Let's see if you believe in me,

Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing,
A ring.
I don't mean on the phone,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight,
Hurry down the chimney tonight,
Hurry, tonight.

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel.
Mr. Grinch.

You're a bad banana
With a greasy black peel.

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders,
You've got garlic in your soul.
Mr. Grinch.

I wouldn't touch you, with a
thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.

You're a vile one, Mr. Grinch.
You have termites in your smile.
You have all the tender sweetness
Of a seasick crocodile.
Mr. Grinch.

Given the choice between the two of you
I'd take the seasick crockodile.

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch.
You're a nasty, wasty skunk.
Your heart is full of unwashed socks
Your soul is full of gunk.
Mr. Grinch.

The three words that best describe you, are as follows, and I quote:
Stink! Stank! Stunk!
