some interesting scientific studies

Amazing to me how we really are connected to each other in ways we hadn't realized and how we keep finding more similarities among ourselves and other species.

Yes, it is pretty amazing.  The genetic stuff is not  surprising to me though - it is part of my faith.   :D

Yeah, I think it's cool to get scientific confirmation of things some of us have felt on a spiritual level to be true.

Perhaps someday, science will catch up.  :D  Regardless of what some New Age folks might think about how we are all "ascending", I think that the Ancestors understood more that we do on many levels.

Interesting stuff EM.  I'd heard about some of it but hadn't seen any of the articles you linked.  :D

DS, this is something I've thought about recently ... there is so much we humans have (collectively) forgotten with advances in science and technology.  I don't like the term "ascending" and some of the New Agers drive me nuts.  I do believe that humans need to evolve and that process is underway, but we need to get back to what our ancestors knew to be able to do that.  I think on some level people are picking up on that ... some fight it and others are stumbling around looking for help.  Pretty sure that is why I've been led/drawn to the energy work.

That may be the reason for your calling. :) I think that everything is evolving - it is the nature of the cosmos to be continually changing.  Why should humans be any different?  It is encouraging to see people trying to get back the connections that our ancestors had.

The one about parrot parents naming their kids reminds me of an old joke about a young Native American who had asked his mother how names were chosen. "Well, son, when a child is born, we look outside the teepee into nature, and name the child for the first thing we see. Why do you ask, Two-Dogs-Boinking?"

peace,

Two-Dogs-Boinking?

Hey, I know that guy!  Seriously, that was the "Indian name" given to one of my co-workers in Cherokee.  Mine is Claps Like Thunder.   :D

There have been studies t for years which indicated that at least in simple organisms that memories or information can be transferred to offspring. I think that the transference between parents to children of not just physical traits but emotional baggage is something that occurs on so many levels. Children model their behavior on their parents at an early age and cultural responses are also a factor. Dysfunctional behavior does seen to continue on in families, if at least the physical cause can be understood that might help break the cycle for some. These were great articles, thanks for sharing.
